I’m a bit of a Marvel Fangirl it has to be said. So it’s not totally surprising that I loved this film, it’s not as good as the first but it does have a charm all of its own. Clearly, Baby Groot steals the show.
Taking a short break from the Infinity Stones to focus on Peter Quill’s origin story. I’m not overly impressed with the Ego storyline, but I guess without making it all over complicated it’s the best version we were going to get for the cinematic universe.
I’d probably go so far as to say that unless they are planning on using Warlock (who is seen in one of the post credit scenes) I’m not sure this much more than a filler for Phase 3. I’m happy to be proven wrong Marvel…..
All that aside, I did love it. One of the reasons I love cinema so much is that it’s a chance to step outside of reality for a couple of hours. A little warning though, prep the tissues. It’s a feels fest…..
Yondu sacrifices himself to save Peter…. and it’s heartbreaking. Seen it twice, cried like a baby both times… seriously…..
